Senior Account Manager / Technical Recruiter
Responsibilities and functions:
Developing new business (cold calls, warm calls, strategic partnering), account management, recruitment and headhunting spanning multiple industries and management levels (including C-Level), technical recruiting, contract and fee negotiation, reference checks, market research, and deal closure. Responsible in meeting and exceeding target monthly and annual quotas.
Worked out of Toronto’s office as well as remotely out of Australia, Mexico and Spain as well as other regions throughout the 5+ years with the company. Managing North American based accounts from overseas and assisting with some new business development in those regions.
Focus:
• Information Technology (developers, architects, engineers, professional services & delivery specialists, management, sales, marketing and others);
• Sales (building heavy hitter, revenue generating teams in any industry)
• Geomatics, Telematics, Public Safety (geospatial, geophysical, GIS, GPS, AVL & location intelligence, police, fire, ambulance and related technology specialists),
• Engineering and Construction (electrical utilities, power generation, transmission, distribution, telecommunications, mechanical, civil, institutional, municipal, oil & gas, mining, aerospace, construction, EPCM and other related specialists);
• Finance (business analysts, quantitative data specialists, ForEx specialists, capital markets);
• Intellectual Property (patent agents, lawyers, trademark agents for both law firms and in-house legal departments)
• C-Level (from Directors to CEO’s and anything in between)
Accomplishments:
• Responsible for building 50% of the multi-location, national sales team for a ForEx company
• Built an engineering management team for a provincial electrical utilities company
• Responsible for multiple hires of staff (ranging from C-Level management to Technical Application Consultants to Sales Engineers) for a Geospatial, Public Safety and National Defense Solutions & Professional Services company
• Contributed to the growth of PentaCan’s key revenue generating account by providing them with top technology talent
• Responsible for the 3rd largest single revenue deal in PentaCan’s history
• Accepted the highest annual revenue maker award at the company’s Christmas gala in 2011
• Spent 2.5 years on the road traveling and living in Spain, Australia and Mexico serving North American markets remotely and assisting the company with some new business development in those regions.
