Level-1 Editor

Nauchsoft, an international IT consulting and software development company, is looking for a Level-1 Editor for the Marketing Department. We have been in the IT business for 35 years and continue growing.

Our web traffic grows and currently amounts to 40,000 US visitors per month.

At Nauchsoft, we believe that only expert-level texts can engage. Let’s put it straight: you won’t be tasked to edit tons of nonsense that no one reads. You’ll work with deep, research-based content, staying on guard of our quality standards.

• Industries: retail, manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, financial services, etc.
• Target prospects: enterprises (end customers), software product companies.
• Topics: software solutions (CRM, financial management, HR management, production management, ecommerce, analytics software, etc.) and services (software development, QA and testing, IT support, etc.)

Our ideal candidates are:

• Experienced editors working with English texts.
• Senior copywriters writing in English.
• Experienced translators and localization specialists with superior command of English grammar, sense of style, and rich native AmE vocabulary.

IT experience is not required. We allocate part of the working time for gaining the needed knowledge and support learning with training materials and personal guidance.

Responsibilities:

Editing and proofreading IT-related texts written for the American audience. Editing should improve texts in the following aspects:

• Language (grammar and vocabulary)
• Logic
• Compliance with publishing guidelines
• Fitness for marketing goals
• Professional tone of voice

Requirements:

• Advanced English (C1 or higher) with superior command of grammar and rich AmE vocabulary.
• Ability to assess the marketing value, scope, style, logic, accuracy of information in texts.
• Ability to trace and get rid of linguistic, logical, style, and other errors.
• Ability to defend your editing choices and give constructive feedback to copywriters to continuously improve their skills.
• Ability to recognize and follow publishing guidelines.
