Full Stack Developer (Founding Engineer)

EnCata Product Development is expanding and looking for a specialist to fill a new, critical role. We are hiring a Founding Engineer for a unique, non-standard position. You will work side-by-side with the founder to build our core product from zero to one and beyond.

You will own the architecture of our AI agent engine, designing systems that can simultaneously handle massive sourcing volume and high-fidelity voice/text interactions.

Given that this role involves direct project collaboration with our core team in the United States, successful candidates will need a B2+/C1 level of English for daily communication and be available to work during US Central Time (CT) business hours.

What You'll Create & Own

• The Intelligence Core: You will design and implement the foundational logic for our conversational AI, enabling our text and voice agents to conduct natural, human-like screening interviews.

• The Foundational Platform: You will build a resilient and scalable backend using Java SpringBoot and a dynamic, high-performance frontend with React NextJS.

• The Scalable Infrastructure: You will take ownership of deploying, managing, and scaling our cloud-based systems on AWS to ensure reliability and performance.

• The Trust & Safety Layer: You will pioneer proprietary detection algorithms to identify and prevent application fraud—such as bots and fake profiles—in real-time.

• A "0 to 1" Pioneer: You excel in ambiguous environments and are driven by the challenge of transforming a conceptual idea into a fully-realized product.

• Versatile Full-Stack Developer: You possess extensive, hands-on production experience building with Java SpringBoot and React NextJS.

• AI Innovator: You have practical experience with—or a strong passion for mastering—LLM integrations, voice synthesis APIs, and autonomous agent workflows.

• Strategically Product-Minded: Your approach extends beyond writing code; you consistently consider the business impact of your technical choices, particularly on user experience and recruiting processes.

Must-Have

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development in a production environment.

• Strong technical expertise in our core stack: Java SpringBoot for backend, React NextJS for frontend, and AWS for infrastructure.

• Proven experience in database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), with a focus on designing systems for secure and scalable candidate data management.

• Fluency in English at a conversational B2+ level for seamless daily collaboration with our U.S. team.

• Ability to work core hours aligned with the US time zones (specifically US Central Time - CT) to ensure real-time teamwork.

Nice-to-have

• Practical experience or a strong interest in AI/ML concepts, such as LLM APIs or conversational AI.

• A background in HR Tech, ATS platforms, or the recruiting industry, which would provide valuable context for our product's domain.
