The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, delivery teams, architects, project managers, and other experts throughout the full project lifecycle — from discovery and presales through implementation, testing, and go-live.

- Facilitate workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare and maintain BRDs, SRSs, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, process diagrams, and other project documentation.
- Contribute to solution design together with architects, technical leads, and development teams.
- Define integration requirements and collaborate with technical teams on external and internal system integrations.
- Support backlog refinement, planning, requirements clarification, and delivery activities.
- Participate in UAT/SIT and validate implemented functionality against documented requirements.
- Support issue analysis and help ensure successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare presentations, project materials, and documentation for business and technical stakeholders.
- Support business users during implementation and adoption of new solutions.
- Participate in presales and discovery activities for new opportunities.
- Work directly with prospective customers to understand business needs, challenges, and expectations.
- Contribute to project scope definition, solution discussions, and requirements clarification during the presales stage.
- Collaborate with Sales/Account Managers, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technical experts to shape proposed solutions.
- Support the preparation of proposals, estimates, assumptions, presentations, and other presales materials.
- Participate in customer presentations and solution discussions when required.
- 5+ years of professional experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Strong hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, formalization, and documentation.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and solution definition through implementation, testing, and go-live.
- Strong knowledge of Business Analysis techniques and approaches.
- Experience preparing BRDs, SRSs, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, functional and non-functional requirements, and process documentation.
- Experience with business process modeling and system analysis.
- Understanding of software architecture, integrations, APIs, and data flows at a Business Analyst level.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and/or Waterfall delivery models.
- Experience collaborating with development, QA, architecture, project management, and business teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including the ability to independently lead workshops and requirements discussions.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience using AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar) in daily Business Analysis activities, including requirements analysis, documentation, research, meeting preparation, User Story and Acceptance Criteria refinement, and test-scenario preparation.
- Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated results and use AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of Business Analysis work.
- Strong organization, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- English level B2+ or higher, both spoken and written.
- 3+ years of business analysis on projects for insurance organizations (carriers, MGAs/MGUs, TPAs, brokerages) or buy-side investment firms (asset and wealth managers, hedge funds, PE, family offices) — mandatory in at least one of the two domains.
- Confident understanding of the domain value chain and the roles within it: carrier / MGA / broker / TPA / reinsurer and their delegated-authority relationships; or buy side vs sell side, asset management vs wealth management business models.
- Practical knowledge of core business processes: policy lifecycle, rating and underwriting, claims handling, billing and commissions, reinsurance; or client onboarding and KYC/AML, portfolio management, order and trade lifecycle, custody, reconciliation, corporate actions, valuation and NAV, performance and fee calculation, client reporting.
- Working knowledge of the domain system landscape: policy administration, rating/underwriting engines, claims and billing systems, data warehouse and analytics; or PMS, OMS/EMS, accounting/book-of-record systems, CRM and client portals, investment data management platforms.
- Ability to translate domain principles and regulatory obligations into testable business rules, domain data models, and use cases written from real domain roles (underwriter, adjuster, broker, operations analyst, portfolio manager, advisor, compliance officer).
- Understanding of domain data exchange standards and integration patterns: ACORD, EDI, bordereaux, carrier/broker feeds; or security master and instrument identifiers, market data and pricing sources, FIX, SWIFT, custodian files.
- Awareness of the regulatory context of the target markets - US state-based insurance regulation and NAIC, SEC/FINRA context for the buy side, GCC regulators - sufficient to identify regulatory implications in requirements and escalate them, without acting as a legal expert.
- Understanding of where AI delivers value in these domains (document intake, underwriting support, claims triage, fraud and leakage detection, reconciliation and reporting automation) and ability to specify non-deterministic components properly: measurable acceptance criteria, human-in-the-loop control points, fallback behaviour, and audit trails.
- Experience in both domains, or in adjacent BFSI areas (banking, lending, payments).
- Knowledge of Takaful and Shari'ah-compliant products, including participant/shareholder fund separation and surplus distribution, and their implications for system design.
- Hands-on exposure to market-leading platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Majesco; or portfolio, order management and market data platforms) as an integrator or migration analyst.
- Participation in presales activities: RFP/RFI analysis, discovery calls, solution outlines and scope decomposition.
- Domain certifications (insurance or investment fundamentals), CBAP/CCBA, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to facilitate discussions and drive decisions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Structured approach to complex and ambiguous problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Strong customer focus and consulting mindset.
