Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto Networks)

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Network Engineer with strong Palo Alto Networks experience to keep our network running reliably and securely. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role in a production environment — you'll own incidents end-to-end and work with minimal supervision alongside a small, high-caliber team.

We're looking for a self-sufficient operator who can hit the ground running. Our team has built a strong reputation, and we need someone who matches that standard — someone who can diagnose complex issues under pressure, make sound calls independently, and document their work cleanly.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security incidents in a production environment
• Own tickets end-to-end: triage, diagnose, resolve, and document
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls (policy, NAT, VPN, threat prevention)
• Perform root cause analysis and drive remediation
• Support routing and switching operations (BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
• Participate in on-call rotation
• This role requires coverage of 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM EST

Experience:

• 5+ years of network engineering experience, primarily in operations/support
• Hands-on Palo Alto firewall troubleshooting and administration
• Experience working within a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
• Strong diagnostic skills under production pressure
• Able to operate independently in a hands-off environment
• PCNSA/PCNSE preferred
