Quality Assurance Engineer (BA background)

RichBrains is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA/BA to join our team. We’re seeking a candidate with a strong sense of ownership, excellent collaboration and communication skills, a solid understanding of QA processes, and expertise in business analysis.

In this role, you'll participate in testing activities, with a particular focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure new features meet user expectations. You will help identify and document issues, coordinate with end-users or internal teams during validation phases, and work closely with different stakeholders across the edtech platform to guarantee smooth production releases.

This is a project-based opportunity lasting three months, with the potential to continue a bit longer. It's an ideal opportunity for freelancers and individuals actively seeking a new job who can start immediately from October 15.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary QA contact for stakeholders, providing daily updates and aligning on quality standards;
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive UAT test scenarios and acceptance criteria;
• Conduct product demos for stakeholders to validate features and gather direct feedback;
• Perform manual and regression testing across web and mobile applications to ensure platform stability;
• Manage test documentation and environments required for smooth UAT cycles.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as QA Engineer on commercial projects;
• Hands-on experience performing BA duties on commercial projects is a must have;
• Strong knowledge of software testing types, methodologies, and techniques;
• Experience with UAT, API testing, Postman;
• Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Testmo);
• Advanced English level to be able to communicate with native-speaker stakeholders;
• Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Would be an advantage:

• Hands-on experience in automation tests;
• Basic knowledge of JS, MySQL, Playwright will be an advantage;
• Experience working with AI tools.
