Middle Project Manager (Cybersecurity)

Nauchsoft, an international software development and IT consulting company, is looking for a full-time Project Manager with practical cybersecurity experience to independently manage security assessment projects for international clients.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and can effectively coordinate security engineers, communicate with clients, and manage engagements from scoping through delivery and retesting.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple cybersecurity projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, infrastructure and cloud security reviews, and other security engagements.
• Work with clients and technical specialists to clarify requirements, define scope, and prepare effort estimates.
• Plan resources, schedules, testing activities, and technical prerequisites.
• Manage client communications, project risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Coordinate reporting, remediation discussions, retesting, and final deliverables.
• Participate in presales activities, including scoping discussions and proposal preparation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of IT project management experience, including hands-on involvement in dedicated cybersecurity projects (penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, security audits, or similar).
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from scoping and estimation through execution and closure.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Understanding of penetration testing methodologies, including Black Box, Gray Box, and White Box approaches, as well as external and internal infrastructure assessments.
• Familiarity with web application, API, infrastructure, and cloud security assessment concepts.
• Understanding of security assessment lifecycles, including scoping, prerequisites, testing, vulnerability reporting, remediation, and retesting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with security engineers and translate technical requirements into project activities.
• Strong project management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) with confident spoken communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience in cybersecurity consulting or security assessment services.
• Experience with presales, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Familiarity with OWASP, PTES, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI DSS.
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365 security.
• Project management or cybersecurity certifications (PMP, PSM, Security+, or similar).
